Lara is a medical doctor at the University Psychiatric Clinics (UPK) Basel and joined the Translational Psychiatry Lab in 2024. After completing her medical degree in 2023, she commenced her clinical work on the psychosis ward. Building on this clinical foundation, she now combines her medical practice with translational research. Her doctoral thesis focuses on elucidating the neuronal mechanisms through which psychosis affects perceptual processing, employing a perceptual decision-making task as an experimental framework.
