Caroline Käse is pursuing her Master’s degree in Psychology, Health and Interventions at the University of Basel.
She joined the Translational Psychiatry Lab in Summer 2025 as a research assistant and Master's student.
She is involved in several experimental projects investigating the neural mechanisms underlying psychosis, which include studying how psychosis affects perceptual processing using perceptual decision-making paradigms, examining the role of NMDA-receptor hypofunction, and exploring how alterations in cortical processing contribute to schizophrenia.
For her Master’s thesis, she is investigating pupillometry and perceptual decision-making to better understand how choice behavior and arousal adapt to environmental volatility.
