Fjola Hyseni is a medical doctor who obtained her PhD in Computational Neuroscience from the University of Bordeaux in December 2023, under the supervision of Nicolas Rougier and Arthur Leblois. Her doctoral work focused on investigating motor timing dynamics in the premotor nucleus of songbirds using computational methods, including dynamical systems theory, ring attractor networks and reinforcement learning. Aiming to use computational tools and modeling to address clinical questions, Fjola joined the Translational Psychiatry Lab as a post-doc in 2025. Her current work focuses on investigating the role of NMDA receptor hypofunction in psychosis.
