Announcement: New SNSF-funded project investigating the role of NMDA receptor hypofunction in psychosis

SNSF Logo

We are happy to announce this new project investigating the neurocomputational mechanisms of psychosis in a cross-species approach. The project is part of a collaborative consortium co-funded by DFG and SNSF in the Weave/lead-agency scheme. We are collaborating with Anne-Katrin Pröbstel, Basel/Bonn (Anne-Katrin Pröbstel - People | Pröbstel Lab), Harald Prüß, Berlin (Team Prüß: Department of Experimental Neurology - Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin) and Albrecht Stroh, Münster (Stroh Lab - Team). The work package performed in Basel will use fMRI in combination with computational modeling to investigate the effects of reduced NMDA-receptor function on visual processing in healthy human volunteers under pharmacological challenge with ketamine and in patients diagnosed with anti-NMDA-receptor encephalitis.
